Vantic for Rust Console Edition
Is There Rust+ for Rust Console?
Is there Rust+ for Rust Console? No. Rust+ is the companion app for the PC version of Rust, and it pairs with PC servers; Rust Console Edition does not support it, there is no pairing option on console, and nothing in the console game talks to the app. That is why Rust Console servers use a Discord bot instead: because console has no plugins either, the bot connects to the server over WebRCON and provides the things PC players get from Rust+ and more, live server status and player counts, alerts when something happens, a map, team and player tools, and for owners the whole admin side. Vantic is one of those bots, free to start, with a public status page for every server that players can check from any phone, which is the closest thing console has to the Rust+ server screen.
No, and that is the whole reason Rust Console servers run a Discord bot. What a bot can replace, what it cannot, and what to ask your server for.

What Rust+ does on PC, and why it does not exist on console
On PC, Rust+ is the official companion app: you pair it with a server in game and it shows the server's status and player count, sends notifications, shows the map, carries team chat and controls smart devices in your base. Rust Console Edition is a separate version of the game, built and run by a different studio, with its own servers and its own feature set, and the pairing that Rust+ depends on is not part of it. There is nothing to install and no workaround; the app simply has nothing on console to connect to.
What console players and owners use instead
A Rust Console Discord bot. Console has no plugins, so the only door into a server is WebRCON, the console link the host provides, and a bot standing at that door can do most of what Rust+ does for PC players and a great deal it does not. Live status and player counts become a public status page and a live player-count channel in Discord. Notifications become a killfeed and feeds. The map becomes a live map and radar for admins and a free map generator for everyone. And the admin side, kits, economy, raid protection, store, events and alerts, has no PC-app equivalent at all.
What a bot can replace, and what it cannot
A bot can replace the server screen, the player count, the notifications, the map and the team tools, because those read from the console. It cannot replace the parts of Rust+ that live inside the PC game's own systems, such as controlling smart devices from your phone; nothing on console exposes that. The one Rust+ feature owners miss most, knowing when your base is being raided while you are offline, has a console answer: raid alerts built from an in-game RF broadcaster wired to a trap, which the bot catches and sends to you in Discord even while you sleep.
If you are an owner: the setup
About ten minutes, nothing installed on the server: add the bot to your Discord, connect the server through the Connect Doctor, give the killfeed a channel and share the public status page with your players. How to set up a Rust Console bot for game server management walks through every step and the mistakes that cost an hour.
If you are a player: what to ask your server for
Ask the owner for three things. The public status page link, so you can check whether the server is up from your phone before you sit down. The Discord with the killfeed and wipe announcements on. And the link command, so your gamertag is tied to your Discord and you can claim kits, earn rewards and show up on the leaderboards. If the server runs Vantic, all three already exist.

Frequently asked questions
Will Rust+ come to Rust Console Edition?
We do not know, and nothing we can point to says it will. Rust Console Edition is a separate version of the game from a different studio, and Rust+ pairing has never been part of it. Until that changes, a Discord bot is how console servers get the same things.
Can I see my console server's status on my phone?
Yes. A server running Vantic has a public status page you can open on any phone, and a Discord channel whose name carries the live player count, so you can check before you sit down to play.
Can I get raid alerts on console without Rust+?
Yes. Place an in-game RF broadcaster on a private frequency wired to a trap or turret, and the bot catches the alarm and alerts you in Discord even while you are offline. It fires only on a real alarm, never on a guess.
Is there a map app for Rust Console?
Not an official one. Admins on Vantic get a live map and player radar on the dashboard, and anyone can use the free map generator on this site to see the console-accurate terrain for any seed and size.
